Guide to migrate Connect macros to Cloud

We have been experiencing rate limit errors triggered by the Atlassian platform. We're working with the Atlassian support to resolve these ongoing difficulties as soon as possible.

To resolve this issue manually, we recommend to manually migrate your largest pages to our Forge macros. You will need to apply two transformations:

Step 1: Transform Requirement definition macros to text

The first step will be to migrate your definition macros only to text.

  • This will not affect your linkage to dependencies (because dependencies are stored in Confluence pages).

  • This will not affect your linkage to Jira issues, or external property values.

Following this documentation you will need to:

  • Apply the transformation on one page with the rule “Reverse transformation".

  • Make sure you tick ‘Definition macro’ on the left, and ‘plain text’ on the right.

  • Before transforming the page, make sure you give it a name so you can reuse it on other pages.

Notes:

  • We would recommend to apply this transformation only to pages which are slow to load, but if you want to, you can use the bulk transformation tool by going into the app ‘Requirements’, and in the Transformations tab.

  • Then, look for your pages, select them, and apply the transformation.

Step 2: Transform text into Requirement definition macros

Once the requirement definition macros are transformed to text, you will be able to transform them back:

  • Apply the transformation on one page with the rule “Transform text into keys".

  • Before transforming the page, make sure you give it a name so you can reuse it on other pages.
