    Modification matrix

Once you have created some variants or frozen some requirements in baselines, you will be able to compare differences with this modification matrix. Watch this quick extract for an overview of the Modification Matrix How to use Variants and compare history on your requirements? - Confluence Cloud :

    Use cases

    • If you want to compare modifications between sets of requirements.

    • If you want to build reports to compare requirements present in different baselines or variants.

    • If you want to compare the evolution of requirements over their versions.

How to use the Modification Matrix?

    • Navigate to Requirements > Modification Matrix.

    • The search bar allows you to search the requirements. (Find more information on how to use the search in the Requirement search documentation.).

    • You can see the first column is the list of requirements, and columns are for versions. It is possible to compare more than 2 versions, you can add more columns with the +. You can select variants (represented with the branch icon), or baselines (represented with the snowflake).

    • In the matrix, the default will show an M for modified requirements. White cells mean the requirement is present and hasn’t been modified compared to the previous column. Grey cells mean te requirement is absent.

    • When enabling the toggle ‘Display text’, you will be able to see the exact content of the requirement.

      • Green highlights will mean the text is new,

      • Red highlights will mean the text is removed.

      • The rest will be unchanged.

    • If you want your report to only display modified requirements between versions, enable the second toggle.
