  1. To upload your external properties, go into the External properties tab.

  2. Click on Upload Excel File

  1. Once the file is chose, you will need to map columns to what they are (key, external property etc.)

    1. You can use an already existing template if you have one, or go to the mapping without using a template.

  1. In this screen, you can do multiple things:

    1. Give the template a name, and choose its permissions

    2. If you have multiple sheets in your Excel file, you can select the ones you want to import, or don’t

    3. Use the cog menu at the top of each of your column to map them to what type of information they are.

  1. Cog menus have 5 options:

    1. Key

    2. Space

    3. Baseline

    4. Import as an external property

    5. Ignored

You may have other columns as well, that are your requirements properties, but we do not care about them. We only care about the external properties. By default other columns will be put as “Ignored".

  1. Go on an external property column and select “Import as an external property”.

  1. Choose the corresponding external property.

    1. Only already created properties will be displayed, this is why if you want to import a new external property. Creating it beforehand will avoid backs and forths.

You can see external properties columns have been mapped properly by looking at the top of each column.

  1. Click on Save, to save the template

  2. Click on Save and Import to save the template and import the external properties.

  1. Wait for the job to finish, acknowledge the import is successful and you’re done!

You’re done!

You will be redirected to the External Properties tab, to check if your comments have correctly been added, you can click on the property and build your matrice (if you did not have one saved before hand).
